(EST): the free 30-day grace period is being removed!<\/p><p>Below is a summary of the impact of this change, along with an FAQ section and recommendations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1a33c476 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1a33c476\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What\u2019s changing:<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-373fcd65 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"373fcd65\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Microsoft is ending the free grace period (previously <strong>30 days<\/strong>) that applied when a subscription reached its end of term without a scheduled renewal.<\/p><p>At the end of the term, customers will now have <strong>three options<\/strong>:<\/p><ol><li>Renew the subscription for a new commitment term (recommended)<\/li><li>Cancel at the end of the term (the service stops immediately after expiration)<\/li><li>Move to the Extended Service Term (EST) to continue the service on a monthly basis at an increased price<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4f98e709 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4f98e709\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Eligible subscriptions for EST:<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ec56ecd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ec56ecd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Extended Service Term (EST) applies to Microsoft cloud subscriptions under the New Commerce Experience (NCE) with a commitment term (license-based) across all three segments\u2014<strong>Commercial, Education, and Nonprofit<\/strong>\u2014when they reach the end of their term without a scheduled renewal.<\/p><p><strong>Eligible subscriptions include:<\/strong><br \/>All subscriptions purchased or renewed on or after April 1, 2025, that expire on or after May 4, 2026 (inclusive).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-873bebc elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"873bebc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">EST terms and conditions:<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1651c61e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1651c61e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Extended Service Terms (EST) allow customers to continue using their service after the expiration date, with monthly billing as follows:<\/p><ul><li>Monthly price + a <strong>3% uplift<\/strong>, or<\/li><li>A<strong> 23% uplift<\/strong> if no equivalent monthly plan exists<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eb31fd7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"eb31fd7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Important Reminder<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9f7e2c4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9f7e2c4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>At the end of the term, the service stops immediately<\/li><li>Data from canceled subscriptions is retained for 90 days, but the service cannot be restored without an active subscription (standard or EST)<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2661b22 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2661b22\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Extra<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9dfd34f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9dfd34f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>EST is a paid option \u2014 it is not a free grace period<\/li><li>Customers can remain on EST indefinitely<\/li><li>Subscriptions can be canceled or converted to a new commitment term at any time<\/li><li>Subscriptions under EST cannot be transferred between partners (not supported via P2P)<\/li><li>EST charges appear as separate SKUs on invoices<\/li><li>No changes allowed to quantity, term, or billing frequency<\/li><li>No upgrades are permitted<\/li><li>Can be canceled at any time (no 7-day cancellation window)<\/li><li>Charges are prorated based on usage<\/li><li>Coming soon: The EST option will soon be available in your ITCloud partner portal.
